Chiropractors can provide referrals to specialists, when deemed necessary, and function similarly to family practice doctors. In addition, Doctors of Chiropractic have a doctorate degree and traditionally, more years of education. A physical therapist has a very limited scope of practice while a Doctor of Chiropractic has a very broad scope of practice. Doctors of Chiropractic are able to be reimbursed for a variety of conditions by insurance companies and Medicare while physical therapists are quite limited.

Dr. Chris Wight

Chiropractor in Idaho Falls

Dr. Wight was raised in Idaho Falls and graduated from Idaho Falls High School. He earned his bachelor degree in Zoology from Brigham Young University. He then completed his doctorate at Northwestern Health Sciences University, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude from the chiropractic program.

Dr. Wight worked at the Team Care Clinic in Chaplin, Minnesota prior to returning to Idaho Falls. He works closely with other chiropractors, medical doctors, and physical therapists.

He focuses on the treatment of disc disorders and chronic low back pain using a revolutionary treatment known as decompression or vertebral axial distraction (Vax-D). He is excited to bring this technology to his hometown and to give people suffering from disc injuries a realistic non-invasive (surgery) treatment option.
